These pieces were thrown from a Cone 5 Laguna body called SB Red and fired to Cone 7 in a soda/salt kiln. The glaze is a variant of a Lana Wilson glaze altered by the inclusion of wood ash. In this particular firing a light brine solution was sprayed into the kiln as the final cone was bending. The texture on the pot in the upper right was created by one of my textured paddles. The other two pots have chatter designs created using different head shapes of the kanna I make.
